Studying violent behaviour

The Centre de recherche de l'Institut Philippe-Pinel de Montréal (CRIPPM) focuses on severe and persistent mental illnesses, personality disorders and violent behaviour.

Historically, these themes have been an impetus for developing assessment tools, assessing needs and practices, and studying related factors.

 

New motivation

In 2004, the CRIPPM began a new project to create a Chair in Biology of Impulsivity. The goal of this position is to develop research programs on impulsivity and violent behaviour-areas of neuroscience that are still in their infancy.
