Mission
The Institut is a university psychiatric hospital that fulfills a unique and essential mission: unique, because it is the only Canadian hospital facility to provide under one roof a full range of specialized services to assess, treat and rehabilitate patients in the justice and mental health systems; essential, because it aims to understand, monitor and prevent psychiatric dangerousness, a worrying phenomenon that affects all of society.
