ROCTools Characteristics
Accurate, Helpful and User Friendly !
General ROC Analysis Execution Order ROCTools
- Draws one or more ROC curves on the same graph
- Automatically provides the best critical point value (threshold), which maximizes sensitivity and specificity
- Interactively varies the critical point (threshold) on a ROC curve in order to obtain associated sensitivity and specificity values
- Calculates the value of the area under the curve, its standard error and a 95% confidence interval
- A statistical test verifies if there is a significant difference between the area under the curve and the 0,5 value (non informative line)
ROC Curve Comparison
- Compares two independent ROC curves (independent samples) using the Hanley and McNeil (1982) method and the variance estimator suggested by Bamber (1975)
- Compares two or several dependent ROC curves (same sample) using the Delong, Delong and Clarke-Pearson (1988) method
- If the global test for comparison of several dependent ROC curves is significant, ROCTools automatically calculates all the pairwise comparisons (post-hoc) in order to quickly identify where the differences are
Graph Production
- Draws several ROC curves on the same graph
- Interactive dot identification on the ROC curves
- Clustered bar chart of the distribution of diagnostic test values
- Graph exportation in JPEG format and
- ROC curves coordinates exportation to other software
User Friendly
- A direct and simple reading of Microsoft Excel data. Standard statistical software such as SAS and SPSS allow easy exportation of data in Excel format
- "Windows" interface with a simple and easy to use scroll-down menu
- Easy printing of results and graphs
- With a simple click, quickly obtain all results (area under the curve, standard error, confidence interval, etc) separated by independent samples
